Welcome to Steve
Frost's website
My interest in photography
began when I was a teenager but was confined to holiday snaps, until I bought
myself an enlarger and started printing the images myself.
I became much more
involved with photography when I joined Havant Camera Club in the South of England, back in
1976, and have been entering club competitions, the club's annual open exhibitions,
and other exhibitions for thirty years.
I added the qualifications
CPAGB after my name about seven years ago.
I will photograph
anything which appeals to me, so that my pictures do cover a wide range
of subjects.
I stopped my darkroom work, and turned to digital printing, scanning prints,
negatives or slides, finishing off in Photoshop, before printing on an inkjet
printer.
Around that time
I also joined a pure digital photography club - The Southern Digital Imaging
Group, based in
Petersfield, Hampshire .Up to about 5 years ago I was still using my trusty
film cameras, an aging Pentax MX for slides and a Pentax MZ for negatives.
Then I purchased a digital Canon SLR, the 300D, then a 20D, and more recently
a 40D with Canon 17-40 L Lens and Sigma 55-200 Lens. The Photo Gallery is
a mix and selection of my pictures, and many are from an original digital
source. Some are available to purchase through the Photo Library 'Alamy', and the above link to Alamy under
'buy stock photos' also showcases all of my photos available for sale at
the current time through that source. For those in the galleries not shown
in Alamy, please contact
me if you wish to
purchase.
